Trip Report WWW2007 - May 8-12 2007, Banff, Canada Pre-conference Activities

vancouver / whistler / blackcomb mountain (may 2..7, 2007)

my wife susanne finished her education as an english teacher just a few weeks ago. to complete her education, she had to spend three weeks as an assistant teacher at a school in an english speaking country. with the upcoming web-conference in banff, we decided that vancouver would be a good place for her to do her assistant teaching. so susanne spent the time from april 15 until may 4 at the university hill elementary school which belongs to the university of british columbia (UBC).

i followed my wife on may 2 and met her at vancouver. on may 4, she was finished and we headed off to whistler where we spend the weekend in the rockies. we skied the blackcomb mountain for two days, where they still had more than 3 meters of snow.

on may 7, we drove our rental PT cruiser back to vancouver where we had to split up again; susanne took the plane back home, i headed for calgary. there, i took the banffairporter shuttle bus to banff, the spectacular venue of the WWW2007 conference.
